Making these adorable locket shapes together for Mother's Day is a moment you'll always hold near and dear to your heart.
1. In large saucepan melt butter over low heat. Add marshmallows and stir until completely melted. Remove from heat.
2. Add KELLOGG'S RICE KRISPIES cereal. Stir until well coated.
3. Using buttered spatula or wax paper, evenly press mixture into 15 x 10 x 1-inch pan coated with cooking spray. Cool slightly. Using cookie cutters coated with cooking spray cut into desired shapes. Decorate as locket with frosting and/or candies. Attach licorice strings for locket chains. Best if served the same day.
Microwave Directions: In microwave-safe bowl heat butter and marshmallows on HIGH for 3 minutes, stirring after 2 minutes. Stir until smooth. Follow steps 2 and 3 above. Microwave cooking times may vary.
I have enjoyed Rice Krispies cereal since I was a little kid. I always look forward to seeing the bright blue box in my cabinet now as an adult. I cannot imagine life without Rice Krispies cereal. It's great for breakfast, quick pick me up and a midnight snack. I recently found the new Rice Krispies Jumbo Multi Grain cereal, I didn't think the original could be improved upon, but I fell in love with the new Rice Krispies cereal as well. Thanks for a lifetime of good memories, Kelloggs. Sincerely, Traci G. Philadelphia PA
